Join us on Saturday 28 September 2024 from 8:30 am until Noon for our 2024 CEC Fall Conference on a two of the 20th Century’s greatest Christian writer’s, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Dr Bradley Birzer, author of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Sanctifying Myth, and Jason Baxter, author of the Medieval Mind of C.S. Lewis, will unpack how Tolkien and Lewis provided the antidote to much of the terror, confusion and moral foundering of the modern world. Through their stories and myth, these two authors re-enchanted Western Civilization with a Sacramental and Liturgical understanding of creation that is open to the gradual discovery of beauty, truth, and excellence, answering the fundamental question of what is the role of the human person within God’s creation? and how does man order himself within God’s creation?
